Ah, another long break from posting. I’m sure you all missed getting updates about my life so I decided to be nice and give you some information, enjoy!
I had a lovely vacation in Florida with my girlfriend and her super fun family for the 4th of July. I’m sure it is safe to say that we all had a great time and wish it could have lasted much longer than the week it did. All eight of us stayed with her Uncle Charlie who lives in Lauderdale by the Sea. So you can imagine the fun times that must have happened with almost ten people living together for a full week.
Day 1:
We went to the town parade on the 4th which was pretty amusing, especially since Charlie and Melissa were actually in the parade supporting a political candidate. We also went to the beach for a bit of relaxation and sun.
Day2:
We went headed to Orlando so we could get an early start on Day 3. I had the pleasure of riding with one of the coolest kids ever, Kat’s oldest nephew, on the way to Orlando. This means of course that I got to play games the entire ride up which is a big win in my books. Once we got to Orlando we stayed in a great hotel with a super cool pool. We stayed in the pool for the rest of the day going in and out of the waterfall and sliding down the slide even with a friendly game of tag. Kat, Melissa, and I had a craving for some ice cream at night and snuck away for some Ghirardelli time, shhhh… don’t tell anyone!
Day 3:
We all excitedly woke up for a day at Universal Studios Island of Adventure! For those that haven’t been before you get to do all kinds of fun things like: meet superheros, play in Seuss land, ride crazy rides, get soak on some of the rides(Sorry Angela), watch a show, explore the world of Harry Potter (complete with a cold glass of butter beer and tour of Hogwarts) and much more! Only sad thing about this day was the lack of 1 ride that required a child and our child didn’t want to ride with us…
Day 4:
I honestly don’t recall this day that much… I think this was a resting day where we played at the beach.
Day 5:
We went on an air boat ride and got to seem some alligators! It was a pretty sweet ride, and we got to see other animals in a zoo like environment once we were done with the tour.
Day 6:
Also a resting day? We did a water balloon toss two days somewhere between day 4 and now.
Day 7:
This is the day that Kat left
We went to a casino at Kat’s request. It was pretty fun and I think everyone came out with some money.
Day 8:
This is the day I drove back home. A very long sad drive.
