Facebook Feature

Alright… so call me stupid but I never new of this joyous feature Facebook has called “video”.  Yeah.. you can make a quick video to a friend right on their wall!  It’s stupid simple and something that I have managed to never do, see, or even hear about until tonight/this morning.

So, I’d like to throw a quick shout out to Hannah and Shelby for being awesome and making a random video for my Facebook Wall.   Probably the only reason I didn’t pass out while doing a load of laundry tonight.   That’s right.. fresh, clean laundry for the James tomorrow…

So if you haven’t randomly given a friend a Wall Video post thingy yet, you should log in, go to your friend’s page and toss them a video.  It’s pretty cool.  I’ll probably start doing this to random people as well :P

Best Playing Method Ever

An old schoolmate of mine has recently found a new, inivative way to play Guitar Hero.  What is this new way you ask?  Well.. I’ll give you a hint.  You need extra equipment and strong ankles… I know it sounds like some crazy gay joke but it isn’t.  You can check it out over at his blog “Inverted Guitar Hero“.   He has video…  you know you want to click the link.. just do it.

Library Walks and Book Reading

I recently finished Yakuza, Go Home! which wasn’t too bad but the ending seemed very abrupt or possibly forced. Either way, I finished the book a day or two ago and returned it to the local library today.

While returning the book I decided to take a quick stop at Starbucks and grab something to drink since I was thirsty and I had a nice gift card from my keeper, Kat. I decided to try one of the smoothies they offer, Banana Chocolate. It was only so-so and I’m pretty sure I’ll never get it again but was something different and worth my time.

Anyway, I left there and decided since the library is only about a block away I would just walk the book to the library. On my walk I crossed paths with some “hood/thug/gangsta” kids that enjoyed my shirt’s logo/design. When they got closer they read “PixelCake.net” on it and noticed I was wearing a Royal BFF necklace that you get from buying Princess Protection Program and suddenly didn’t think it was nearly as cool. After a few jokes (about me being crazy mainly) we went on our separate ways and I returned my book.

On the way back to the truck and older guy stops me and asked if “Those thug kids gave me any problems”. This just led to me giggling and informing him that they thought I was either: badass, crazy, or gay (and they were pretty sure gay was not an actual option). This is about the time the the old guy informed me that I probably am crazy since I am young and go to the library… and wear a girl necklace.

Anyway, now I am not in debt to the library and I get to read Peter Pan which if you read before was a gift from Kat and I promised I’d read the book. As of right now I am now on Chapter 2: The Shadow (in Peter and Wendy)

Crap.. I never posted this yesterday… so pretend all of this happened on Tuesday July 7, 2009… not today.. (oh, I’m now on Chapter 3 :D )

Happy 4th of July!

That’s right. It’s a Holiday! At least for Americans it is a holiday so Happy 4th everyone! Hope most of you enjoyed shooting fireworks (or at least seeing some).

Today I got a super cool package from my Kat. She rocks, just in case you didn’t already know. This is a super cool happy holiday, thanks for being cool type of package full of cool stuff that took time and effort which makes it that much better!  I took a few picks of the things that I found inside!

Okay.. so maybe the brownie Sunday (last picture) wasn’t really in the package.. but it was a lot of awesome and all I was expecting was brownies so YAY!.  Hope Kat is enjoying her time with her family right now in FL! That’s really all I wanted to say.  Now I must go eat me some brownies :D

Song for the Kat

TweetBoard

Alright, if you have visited Izulien.com in the last few days you probably have noticed I now have a little tab to the left of the screen that says something like “X tweets since your last visit”.  Being a curious group I am going to go out on a limb and say that you have clicked on said tab by now and noticed the awesomeness that is a live board of tweets.

This is a very new program/project by 140Ware!  It is still in Alpha so you can expect some changes and improvements in the future of course.  The basic idea is “True Twitter Conversation” in ANY site.  It take one line of Java Script to get this joyous bundle of awesome added to your site (provided you have a Tweetboard account).

Another great thing I like about Tweetboard is a subliminal/viral affect it has by adding a “sent from” URL that links back to your website.  This is super great to show the people that visit your site and helps bring their friends on over to join the convo.. which then leads thier friends/followers to join you too!

If you are interested you can take advantage of the Alpha Invites.  Not sure how many will be tossed out there but it’s always safter to grab it now and start playing around! Get your Alpha Invite for Tweetboard now only at http://tweetboard.com/!
