Free Pizza with Renewal

I was pleasantly surprised today by the Management of my apartment complex today!   They came a knocking right at 1:00pm and had a lovely pizza in hand ready to give to me.

Hot-N-Ready Pizza

Yeah, that’s right, I gots free pizza from my apartment managers!  Now I’m sure you are all wondering “How did he manage that?”.  Well, the answer is simple.  I lived here for about a year now and offered to continue to stay for about another year.  This quickly prompted them to congradulate/thank me by giving me peace offerings.  What better peace offering could there be for a male in his early 20′s than free pizza?

Well, now that I’m done being that geeky kid in movies that blogs about every moment of his life I shall now eat my new found peace offering and start up Season 1 of Lost.

Website Changes

So I’ve done a few minor updates to the site.  You now have to be a registered user to post a comment, I know it’s a bit annoying and will most likely make you want to comment less but I like it and it now lets you upload a photo to use right here on my site instead of making you sign up for another site.

I tried to make it as easy as possible by allowing you to pick a password as you register instead of having to use a silly made up hash password that you will never remember.  Let me know if you think it’s worth the trouble.  If not I may remove the restriction yet, leave the option available for those that want to use photos.

As a side note, TekZor.us has been semi-revived/started now so you should check it out!  Let me know what you think of the site(s) here, there, or on Facebook!  If you are not already a fan feel free to join the club, we went from 0 to 22 in just 24 hours so that’s pretty sweet!

Oh, and here’s a quick reminder of cool sites to visit (other than this one)

  • TekZor.us
    • TekZor.us
  • PixelCake.net
    • PixelCake.net on Facebook
  • Break Aux
    • Break Aux on Facebook

Today’s Big Thing

One of the sites I’m subscribed to happens to be Today’s Big Thing.  If you have never heard of this site it’s a shame.  Basically they check the Internet for the “Most Popular” videos around and post them up.  Some are funny, some are interesting, some are super educational.  Others… make you wonder.. like this one.

Remember that one guy?

I know you have all now checked out BreakAux.com and loved every second of it!  Now it’s time to check out the personal site of the guy running it!  Take a quick peek at Crackeyes.com and let him know what you think of the place (or leave a comment here about either of the sites).

Netflix on my 360 just got better!

Before work yesterday I noticed an excellent update to the Netflix application on the 360 that allows you to browse and queue movies from your 360 as well as watch select content “with” friends!!

New Netflix on the 360!

According to Xbox.com the new features include:

  • Netflix Instant Queue – For the first time on any device you can update your Netflix instant Queue right from your television – no computer necessary.
  • Party Watch – Catch a show with your friends! Bring your party into Netflix and watch a movie or TV show together. (Feature available with supported titles.)
  • Find Content Faster – Browse through New Releases and other genre lists based on the types of shows you’ve previously watched, all from the comfort of your couch.
  • Improved Playback Experience – Improvements have been made to ensure a better experience when adapting to changing network conditions.
  • Improved Presence – Richer information is now displayed in the Friends channel and in the Guide showing what you and your friends are watching.

I have yet to try the “Party Watch” feature so I can’t say how great that will be. I did however start it up (all by my lonesome) and it is set up like a mystery science theater showing. There are a few chairs in front and a “movie screen” in front. You can use emotes to show a range of emotions (happy, sad, laughter, boredom, playful…. well you get the idea). I’m curious if my friends have to have Netfix on their machines to be able to join me or not. I’ll try to get my friend Jesse to try it out with me soon.
